Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant, responsible, and professional Security Guard to protect our premises, assets, and personnel. In this role, you will maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, patrolling areas, responding to incidents, and enforcing security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, integrity, and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and authorize entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other persons.

  • Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence.

  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances or suspicious activity.

  • Write and submit detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.

  • Maintain surveillance of designated areas using security systems (CCTV, alarms, etc.).

  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Escort individuals when necessary to ensure safety.

  • Collaborate with emergency services when required.

  • Enforce company rules, policies, and legal regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED); additional training is a plus.

  • Proven work experience as a Security Guard or in a similar role.

  • Valid Security Guard license/certification (if required by local laws).

  • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.

  • Surveillance skills and familiarity with security systems.

  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Integrity and professionalism at all times.

Preferred Skills

  • First Aid and CPR certification.

  • Previous experience in [insert relevant sector: retail, healthcare, construction, etc.].

  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation training.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.

  • Indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.

  • Requires standing or patrolling for long durations.
